Skielik besef ek dat my man eintlik my beste vriend is. Ek lief jou stukkend!!

Your’e my best friend

You placed gold on my finger
You brought love like I’ve never known
You gave life to our children
And to me, a reason to go on.

Chorus:
You’re my bread when I’m hungry
You’re my shelter from troubled winds
You’re my anchor in life’s ocean
But most of all, you’re my best friend

When I need hope and inspiration
You’re always strong when I’m tired and weak
I could search this whole world over
You’d still be everything that I need.

Maak jou oë toe

En jou hart oop

En voel hoe al jou sorge wegloop.

Jy moet jou net aan God toevertrou

Hom toelaat om jou

In liefde toe te vou.

Want die lewe op aarde

Is nie maklik

En van die uitdagings

Voel so onredelik,

Wanneer jy moeg is,

Hoop verloor, berou,

Is daar altyd een deur

Wat oop staan vir  jou.

Dit is die deur

Na die huis van gebed,

Waar God altyd reg staan

Om jou te red.

It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish… All before making a human. He made and provided what we’d need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We’re such slow learners…

God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

God’s Pharmacy!

New PictureA sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… And YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

New Picture (1)A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

New Picture (2)Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

New Picture (3)A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

New Picture (4)Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

New Picture (5)Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

New Picture (6)Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

New Picture (7)Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

New Picture (8)Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

New Picture (9)Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries

New Picture (10)Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

New Picture (11)Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Parool op ons voorstoep… June 15, 2009

Hallo julle…

Hoekom?  Want ek worry my gat af.  Ek is BANG!!

Hy is onsettend bang oor hoe mense hom gaan hanteer as hy uitkom.

Watch this space hoor.

Hunter Hayes

“For the love of music, and the glory of God”

Hunter Hayes

Hunter Hayes (born 1991 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana) This 17 year old singer-songwriter, became a Cajun music sensation at the age of three. Considered a prodigy, he is an accomplished diatonic accordion player, as well as a highly talented guitar player. Well versed on many other instruments, he also produces and records in his own home studio. He’s made numerous appearances on national TV (Rosie O’Donnell, Maury, Nashville Now) and been in several movies (The Apostle, All The Kings Men) as well as performed for President Bill Clinton at a White House lawn party. A Youtube clip of a very young Hunter performing Jambalaya with Hank Williams Jr. has been viewed over nine million times. The high school graduate (he received his diploma from Belmont High in Tennessee, after attending accelerated summer classes in 2008) now balances daily songwriting and continued performances which keep him busy at festivals and corporate events worldwide. His latest CD “songs about nothing” was recently released independently and is a departure from his cajun roots into the blues/r&b/pop genre.

The tender side of Me June 7, 2009

tender side of me

Toe ek hierdie stukkie lees, het ek gevoel dit is presies hoe ek voel.  Ek is ‘n persoon wat maklik trane in my oë kry, good or bad.

May 26, 2009

The British call Z zed and the Scots call it ezed  but Americans call it zee.

(Z) – Pronunciation Keys      = bee

Z is the twenty-sixth and final letter of the modern Latin alphabet.

In many dialects of English, the letter’s name is zed , reflecting its derivation from the Greek zeta (see below). In American English dialects, its name is zee , deriving from a late 17th-century English dialectal form. Another English dialectal form is izzard, which dates from the mid-18th century, probably deriving from the French et zède, meaning “and z,” or else from “s hard.” A variant izzed is the predominant form in anglophone South Asia.

Other Indo-European languages pronounce the letter’s name in a similar fashion, such as zet in Dutch, zède in French, zett in German, zeta in Italian and Spanish, in Portuguese, and se (ze) in Russian.

Proto-Semitic Z Phoenician Z Etruscan Z Greek Zeta

Why do the British pronounced the letter Z “zed”?

Whenever I hear a person from Britain pronounce the letter Z, they pronounce it “zed” instead of “zee,” as we Americans say it. Why is there a difference between the pronounciations?

As usual in most of these matters, it’s we the people of the US that changed it, not the other way around. “Zed” comes from the original Greek zeta via Old French zede, and pretty much all English speakers worldwide pronounce it that way. The reason we don’t is because we had a pretty major falling out with the people that did, and in the aftermath, seized on dialectical nuances and amplified them.

The last thing an American wanted to sound like after the Revolution was an Englishman, or vice-versa. Not that it was an intentional alteration, but there was a regional dialect in the US (and, it must be said, in parts of England) that pronounced it zee (as there were others that pronounced it zad, zard, ezod, izzard, and uzzard), and this was one difference in the vocabulary which was seized upon by post-George III America.

According to the Concise Oxford Companion, “The modification of zed … to zee appears to have been by analogy with bee, dee, vee, etc.” You kind of get the feeling that this wasn’t the most important letter of the alphabet, not only from this sloppy attention to its pronunciation, but also by such quotes as Shakespeare’s “Thou whoreson Zed, thou unneccessary letter!” Lye’s New Spelling Book (1677) was the first to list “zee” as a thecorrect pronunciation, and it was pretty much firmed up by Webster, who, like grammarians all over the former Empire, wanted to put the kibosh on all this “izzard” nonsense, and decreed “it is pronounced zee” (1827).

We may win the battle yet, though, by indoctrinating British, Australian, and Canadian kids when they’re young. The plan was, take a catchy tune by some pop composer like, oh, say Mozart, and attach the alphabet to it. The previously mentioned ‘analogy’ with other letters enables you to rhyme the last line of the song, and even a four year old can tell that the line following “q r s, t u v” is not supposed to be “w x, y and ZED”.

This so-called “Sesame Street Phenomenon” is noted in almost all other English-speaking countries, and was addressed by J.K. Chambers in a study of kids in Ontario, in which he noted a lessening of the taboo on “zee” in the Canadian schools. Even in England itself, elementary teachers are complaining that they have to re-teach the pronunciation of the letter when 5 and 6 year olds come to school, and when they sing the song, they typically do so with the American pronunciation. In my opinion, all we have to do to win the whole language war is to popularize some rhyme with some lines like “Cookies, elevator, french fries, truck; don’t say ‘petrol’ or you suck.”

Now you know about zed and zee. Next time won’t you sing with me? ♪♪♪♪♪♪
