God is all around us!!

I felt the need to share this, as it proves a few things.

No1 – God listens (and the words keep resonating in my head sometimes we are so busy looking for the big miracles that we dont see the hundreds of small miracles happening in our lives everyday).
No2  – God has a warm, caring and beautiful sense of humour. No3 God is everywhere!

I was on the road today, out of office, seeing customers and trying to generate some sales for what I can only describe as a slow month. The mood I faced was a negative one. Everywhere I stopped people were complaining about the economy, the Transnet strike, how bad the soccer world cup is going to be for our business, crimetowards the end of my day I was beginning to feel fairly negative and depressed myself. I was wondering how people are so easy to see the bad and find it so difficult to see the good in life. I got to my second last call for the day and before I went in I sat in the car for a couple of seconds, closed my eyes and asked God to give me strength to get through the remainder of the day without going home feeling just like the people I had encountered during the course of my day.

So I walked into Raymonds office said hello and within the first couple of words spoken the subject was on the Transnet strike and how it was impacting our economy. I sat down, took a breath and got ready to listen to the usual. Raymonds wife was there. Out of the blue she says to me: I hear that you have given your heart to the Lord. This caught me a little by surprise, because after my return from the Emmaus I told everyone who cared to listen that I had given my heart to the Lord, and some I told twice incase they didnt hear me the first time. I finally replied yes I did. Then she asked: can I show you something really cool? I replied sure.

She showed me this:

She asked: Do you know what this is?

I said Its the national flag

The black in the rear of the flag is a symbol for the world, the darkness of the world.

The yellow is a symbol for the roads paved with gold in heaven, the road all Christians want to travel on one day.

The green is a symbol for Gods creation, and symbolises the trees, plants and everything else that has life.

The white symbolises Jesus Christ, the Lamb who is without sin.

The red is a symbol for the blood that Jesus spilt to save us from our sins and grant us a chance to eternal life.

The blue is a symbol of the Holy Spirit that was given to us when Jesus ascended into heaven .

Does this flag have any symbolic meaning to you now?

My mood was changed in an instant! I couldnt help but notice on my way home, that almost every second or third car is proudly displaying a flag of South Africa.

Ek kry elke dag “Jou Woord vir Vandag” van Radio Kansel per e-pos.  Is dit toeval dat hierdie stukkie en die tema van my blog presies dieselfde woorde in het?

Hou op kla en begin baat

Klagtes kan ook billik en regmatig wees.  Klagtes oor onreg, mishandeling, verraad, roof, skinder, laster, vooroordeel, fisiese leed aan jou of jou gesin, en dies meer, is regmatig. As jy niks hieromtrent doen nie, versuim jy jou plig. Jy is geroepe om die sout en die lig van die aarde te wees, en probleme op te los deur jou geestelike beginsels daagliks toe te pas. Dit is onverantwoordelik, en ook aan God ongehoorsaam, om nié op te tree nie. God se definisie van optrede sluit kla egter uit. Wat staan my te doen, aangesien God kla afkeur?

Eerstens, moet jy niks doen totdat jy met God gepraat het nie. Jy sal reg optree nadat jy eers tyd gemaak het om die regte raad te kry. Gebed sal jou opsies duidelik laat word en jou perspektiewe aanpas. Dit ontlont jou woede, en herstel jou objektiwiteit en rasionele denke. Jou tweede skuif het ‘n beter kans om te slaag as jou eerste skuif was om God om raad te vra: ‘…Vra vir God …’ (Jakobus 1:5 NLV).

Tweedens, voordat jy enigiets sê of doen, moet jy eers jou gesindheid toets. Bepaal wat jou werklike doel is. Is dit dalk om ander te wys dat jy reg is en hulle verkeerd? Wil jy beter lyk deur ander slegter te laat lyk? Wil jy ‘n persoonlike oorwinning behaal, óf wil jy ‘n probleem tot God se eer oplos? Toets jou gemoed, voor jy jou mond oopmaak: ‘…Waar die hart van vol is, loop die mond van oor.’ (Matteus 12:34NLV). As jou hart volgens God reg is, sal jy enige regmatige klagte op die regte manier hanteer.

Ek lees op die oomblik  “10 curses THAT BLOCK the Blessing” van Larry Huch.

Wat sal mens die nou noem, ook toeval dat hierdie stukkie “woord vir vandag”  ook in die boek behandel word?

Hoekom het ek juis hierdie boek opgetel om te lees meer as ‘n jaar nadat my moeks die boek vir my gegee het?

Ek het baie antwoorde op die vrae gekry net in die eerste 2 hoofstukke van die boek….

Ek het besef dat waarvan my hart te vol was, eintlik te veel oorgeloop het, en het ek onwetend ‘n vloek op my en my familie uitgespreek.

Ek lees op die oomblik  “10 curses THAT BLOCK the Blessing” van Larry Huch en hoe toevallig dat hierdie stukkie “woord vir vandag”  ook in die boek behandel word.

Vandat ek die boek begin lees het (ja dit vat maar lank want daar is baie hoë woorde in Engels wat ek nie verstaan nie, en maar met ‘n woordeboek langs my moet sit) probeer ek net positief  wees, spreek net goeie woorde, weerhou myself daarvan om te skinder, lelike goed te sê oor myself/ander, of om te sê dat ek/iemand dit nie sal maak nie.

Ek wil die boek so gou as moontlik klaarmaak, verstaan waarvan Larry praat, dit toepas in my lewe en weet dat my lewe vorentoe vol “Blessings” sal wees!

Mistery case file 1

Vanoggend maak ek soos gewoonlik Zeethan se Ben10 tassie oop om sy “lunch box” waarin ek elke dag vir hom ‘n vrug, koeldrank en ‘n jogurt inpak oop.

Liewe land, ek het amper ‘n floute beleef toe die reuk my so reg onder my neus vang.

Sien, gisteroggend besluit hy sy nagdoek wat in ‘n sakkie toegebind was (ek het dit op die tafel gelos omdat my man al klaar al die vullissakke buite gaan sit het en ek op my pad uit dit sommer gou in ‘n sak sou druk) in sy tas moet wees. Ek wonder wat het hy gedink daarin is

Hoekom hy die doek in sy sak gedruk het bly ‘n mistery

My eerste gedagte was hy het ‘n glips gehad by die skool, maar ek kon nou nie onthou dat hy gister middag ander klere aangehad het nie.

Meneertjie het net gesmile toe ek hom vra hoekom hy dit gedoen het.

I am Spiderman

Zeethan het gister gedink hy is ‘n regte Spiderman.  Ons het vir ons lekker hang stoele in die lapa opgehang wat my broer al seker 4 jaar terug vir ons gegee het.

Sy eerste woorde was….  “My jungle gym”

“Nee engel, dis stoele, Nee Ouma, my jungle gym”

Ons het hom laat hom maar laat swaai en klouter (ek het ‘n paar blou kolle soos hy oor my geklim en klouter het) en die volgende woorde was net te kosbaar

“Look Ouma, I am Spiderman, I can fly”

Ek dink die foto’s spreek vanself hoe hy homself gate uit geniet het

Baie dankie vir almal se kommentaar wat ek nog nie beantwoord het nie maar ek sal nog daarby uitkom.  Ek lees darem nog gereeld almal se blogs op my google reader, maar deesdae kry ek nie eers kans om vir myself koffie by die werk te maak nie, en ons internet “suck” by die werk, my konneksie by die huis is vinniger as by die werk en ek is op 3g, en die tyd wat dit vat om net iewers te probeer kommentaar lewer is nie goed vir my humeur nie.

Dit gaan goed met ALMAL van ons, Seun inkluis, ek kan nou nog nie glo dat dit so goed met hom gaan en dat hy 2weke terug deur ‘n toets is wat hy geslaag het……  Heeldag naby dwelms en kon sterk staan en NEE sê.

Dankie ook aan my 3 vriendinne wat my party nagte deurgehelp het toe ek down en under was, vol stres en my vol moed ingepraat het, en wat meer in hom geglo het as ek.  Julle weet nie hoe ek dit waardeur nie!!!!!
